about

This "madrigal" was composed in the 17th century by the great Claudio Monteverdi and it's a lament - a short, free musical form appearing in the Baroque, typically appearing as a set of harmonic variations in homophonic texture, wherein the bass descends through a tetrachord, usually one suggesting a minor mode. I fused it with the flamenco style called soleá based on the same falling phrygian tetrachord used by Monteverdi.
